One of Graphite Digital’s very own technical web developers, Will Newmarch has been named as one of the British Interactive Media Association’s (BIMA) HOT 100.
BIMA, the UK’s representative for the digital industry, has been recognising excellence in digital for over 30 years. The HOT 100 aims to celebrate those pushing the boundaries in digital, helping to move the industry forward.
Will was chosen by the panel of industry experts thanks to his work on some of Graphite’s most sophisticated technical projects. As well as developing innovative technology for the likes of Costa Coffee, Will has inspired and led the production of ‘Luna’ an internal project from Graphite which was featured as part of the Brighton Digital Festival. The project allowed passers-by to control an asteroids game shown on a large screen in the ground-floor office window using their mobile phone as the controller.
Will says “I originally got into digital because there’s always something new and it’s so ingrained in people’s everyday lives. Everything you create can be accessed and understood by almost everyone.”
Our MD, Rob comments: “Will is a fantastic developer and has been integral to Graphite’s success, so it’s no surprise that he’s now been recognised by the industry. We’re all extremely proud of his achievement.”
Will and the other winners will be invited to accept the accolade and celebrate the best of digital at a black tie event in London later this year. Well done Will!
