The PM Society Digital Awards recognise and celebrate the best creative and digital working the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Their annual event has become a key date in the healthcare marketing calendar, with 2024 marking the 15th awards ceremony!
This year, we were delighted to be recognised for our work with leading pharmaceutical organisation, Astellas, across two categories. We’re incredibly proud of the partnership that we’ve forged with Astellas over the last 2 years, so it’s great to see the work getting this external recognition from the wider sector.
Internal Communications category
The Internal Communications category highlights any digital programme or campaign for internal communication, motivation and training. It also recognises innovative digital approaches to engaging teams who may be working remotely or in a hybrid working set up.
We partnered with Astellas on their new global design system, developing a strategic launch campaign to ensure stakeholder adoption. This included internal email campaigns, a promotional motion graphics video, and multiple calls with teams to educate and reassure. We also provided comprehensive documentation and a suite of training videos for brand teams, equipping them with the confidence to succeed.
Our approach ensured that teams across markets understood the purpose of the new digital framework, and how it would empower them to achieve their objectives.
Pharma Technology Impact category
The pharma technology impact category applauds the game-changing solutions that have reshaped the landscape of pharma marketing, making it more dynamic, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of healthcare professionals.
In just 4 months we were able to create a new global design system for Astellas, rooted in stakeholder and customer insight. The new design system has enhanced digital experiences for HCPs and patients by offering a consistent visual identity, improved accessibility, and intuitive interaction.
It has enabled brand teams to focus on creating valuable content within a compliant and standardised, yet flexible framework — laying the foundations for omnichannel success. In under 6 months, 40 websites were launched across 15 countries, with website development times reduced from 2-3 months to 2-4 weeks, and launch costs reduced by 90%!
Celebrating in London
On Thursday 12th, some of the Graphite team travelled to London to attend the eventful ceremony, along with our partners at Astellas.
Head of Delivery, Leslie Rois-Burrows, along with Senior Product Designer, Tom Warner and our CEO Rob Verheul headed to The Brewery in London suited and booted for the award ceremony, ready to celebrate the innovations of this year’s nominees and winners.
